AMTOI Northern Region Event Witnesses Insightful
Deliberations on Trust-Based Compliance
T
he Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India (AMTOI)
successfully hosted its 7th Northern
Region Event on May 06, 2026, at the
India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, drawing
participation from stakeholders across the
transport and logistics sector.
The event was attended by AMTOI President Shantanu Bhadkamkar, Vice President
Devpal Menon, and Honorary Secretary
Vasant Pathak. The Guests of Honour included
Sagar Kadu, Director Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT),
and Dr Sanjeev Ranjan, Member Adjudicatory,
Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways
(MoPSW).
The power-packed session drew widespread participation from major industry
bodies, including FFFAI, DCBA, NISAA, FIEO,
NCBA, alongside key shipping and terminal
operators. The central dialogue focussed on
the shift from rigid enforcement toward
collaborative governance, emphasising
that India’s global competitiveness rests
on a foundation of trust-based regulatory
frameworks. Industry leaders underscored
the critical role of AI-driven digitisation
and integrated cargo systems in enhancing
transparency and operational speed. By
aligning with national initiatives like Gati
Shakti and the National Logistics Policy, the
forum called for a seamless, coordinated
approach between the government and
private sectors to simplify compliance and
drive systemic e昀케ciency.
