India’s automotive exports reached a record 66.4
lakh units in FY26, marking a 24% increase driven
by robust demand across Africa, Latin America, and
Europe. Passenger vehicle exports rose by 17.5%,
while two-wheelers emerged as a major growth
driver, with shipments up 24% to 49.4 lakh units
during CY2025.
Cochin Airport expanded its export cargo infrastructure to handle 1,25,000 tonnes
annually, while its new Dedicated Trucking Centre is streamlining landside cargo
movement through specialised truck parking and transit zones.

of Atlas Air, Titan Aviation Holdings, and Polar Air

destinations in 90 countries.

Advancing Sustainable Aviation
Fuel Production in the Middle East
A project to develop Egypt’s 昀椀rst sustainable aviation
fuel plant, located roughly 120 km southeast of Cairo,
has secured US$142.9 million in debt financing.
Renewable fuels developer Green Sky Capital and
its Egyptian subsidiary SAF Fly Egypt are aiming to
produce 200,000 metric tons of biofuels.

Air Cargo Demand Surges
Peru has become the world's leading
exporter of blueberries, exporting nearly
412,239 tons valued at over US$2.5 billion
by the end of 2025. Peak harvest volumes
create periodic pressure on air cargo
capacity, particularly on northbound
routes to East Coast consumption hubs,
driving demand for dedicated aircraft.
