Progress: Highlights from ACAAI’s
48th Mega Convention
T
he 48th Annual Convention of the Air
Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI)
was held in the picturesque city of Baku,
Azerbaijan, from December 05-08, 2024.
The convention was inaugurated by His Excellency Sridharan Madhusudanan, Ambassador of

India to Azerbaijan, who graced the event as the
Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Piyush
Srivastava, Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of
Civil Aviation (MoCA), Government of India. Sanjay
Jain, First Secretary at the Indian Embassy, also
attended and contributed to the occasion.
HE Madhusudanan delivered
an insightful address, sharing
his personal and professional
experiences while providing a
deep dive into the rich history
of Azerbaijan. Srivastava who
had graciously accepted ACAAI’s
invitation and traveled to Baku
to attend the convention, also
addressed the delegates, shedding
light on key initiatives undertaken
by the Government of India and
recognising ACAAI’s invaluable
contributions to its members.
Both HE Madhusudanan and
Srivastava commended ACAAI for
selecting a highly relevant theme,
“Wings of Innovation – Charting
New Paths in Logistics”, for the
convention.
The convention saw the
participation of top-ranking
Indian government o昀케cials and
registered the largest turnout
of delegates and their spouses.
The business sessions were
thoughtfully designed, featuring expert panels that offered
valuable insights on logistics and
allied industry developments and
trends within related fields. A
range of non-logistics sessions,
including yoga and mentalism,
also captivated the audience, adding an element of entertainment
and engagement.
Delegates emerged themselves
in the ample opportunities for live
entertainment, fellowship, and
networking, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie. A sightseeing tour was also organised for
the accompanying spouses.
