Future-Focussed
Operations: Growth,
Investments,
and Continuous
Development
We have been a key player in the domestic
logistics industry for many decades, and
over this time, we have built a highly
skilled and experienced team across
various logistics domains. Our strong
workforce, along with our trusted partners
both in India and abroad, enables us to
pursue ambitious expansion plans.
Our multimodal logistics hub
in Vizag is already operational
with rail siding and cold chain
facility and we are planning
to operate a similar facility
in collaboration at Nagpur.
We are actively working on
expanding in other locations
as well including the development of a FTWZ in Mumbai.
Changes bring both opportunities and challenges, not
only for logistics services but
also for end-user industries.
To navigate this evolving
market, we must offer a
service model that is resilient
and adaptable to these shifts.
As part of our growth strategy, we are
focussed on increasing investments, driving
development, and expanding our logistics
operations. This includes venturing into rail
siding operations, where we will establish
warehouses at strategic locations.
With our experienced team in place,
we will continue to expand and enhance
our workforce. This will involve ongoing
training and development programmes
to ensure our team stays aligned with
the fast-paced changes in the logistics
industry. This process of skill-building
and growth will be continuous as we scale
our operations.
Asia to Europe and
Beyond: Connecting
Continents via
Comprehensive Freight
Solutions
We handle a signi昀椀cant volume of crossborder trade, leveraging our expertise in
freight forwarding, chartering, air freight,
and sea freight. Our operations in CFSs
are also substantial, where we manage the
import of containers into India, contributing
to our large-scale volume.
Our primary focus regions include Asia,
Europe, and the USA, with a strong presence
in the Far East. In terms of speci昀椀c goods,
we handle high volumes of shipments from
Asia to the Middle East and Europe. This
includes a wide range of products, with a
notable emphasis on defence-related goods,
which make up a signi昀椀cant portion of our
business.
Evolving Business
Models for a Dynamic
Marketplace
As new business models emerge from the
ongoing global challenges, the logistics
landscape is undergoing signi昀椀cant transformation. These changes bring both opportunities and challenges, not only for logistics
services but also for end-user industries.
To navigate this evolving market, we must o昀昀er a service model
that is resilient and adaptable to these shifts.
As a 158 year-old conglomerate, we have always evolved
with the market, which is why we have diversi昀椀ed into multiple
business sectors. Our CFSs, for example, have helped facilitate
faster clearance for trade, especially beyond direct port deliveries.
In line with our commitment to staying ahead of the curve, we
are transitioning from CFSs to multimodal logistics hubs, which
will integrate domestic warehousing and rail siding facilities,
providing more comprehensive logistics solutions.
Additionally, we are expanding into rail operations, focussing
on improving domestic logistics. Given the challenges faced
with trucking, we aim to simplify operations for the trade by
enhancing rail infrastructure, ensuring smoother and more
e昀케cient transportation.
