Building a Flexible Supply Chain
Having a nexible logistics and supply chain management (SCM)
model is crucial for adapting to unexpected changes in the business
environment and maintaining operational resilience. Here are key
aspects of a nexible supply chain:
* Agility: Ability to quickly adjust distribution, utilise alternative
transportation modes, and manage dynamic inventory.
* Visibility: Real-time visibility across the entire supply chain,
including inventory levels and transportation status.
* Collaboration: Building strong relationships with clearing and
forwarding agents (C&F), third-party logistics (3PL) service
providers, and transporters to ensure efective communication
and coordination during disruptions.
* Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying and mitigating logistics
risks through effective vendor management, diversifying
transporters and 3PL providers, and implementing contingency
planning.

Starting as a Management Trainee at EXIDE, Sanjoy Bhadra gained diverse
experience across India in planning, operations, and plant logistics. He
quickly progressed to Assistant Manager- Logistics Planning for the 2WH

Pioneering Versatility in Supply Chain Excellence
Addressing supply chain challenges necessitates strategic planning,
technological innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous
improvement initiatives. Proactive identiocation and resolution of
these challenges enable companies to boost supply chain eïciency,
cut costs, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
For instance, rising fuel prices increase transportation costs,
impacting company proots. Simply negotiating with vendors isn9t
a sustainable solution; instead, fostering long-term collaborative
relationships is key. Implementing a Transport Management System
(TMS) and real-time tracking minimises operational expenses and
enhances delivery eïciency.
