Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her
seventh straight Budget on July 23 for the fiscal 202425, setting a new record — six annual Budgets and one
interim, a feat achieved so far only by former Prime
Minister Morarji Desai. As expected, the Union Budget
for 2024-25, the first under the Modi 3.0 government,
has taken a “significant leap” towards positioning
India as a manufacturing and logistics powerhouse,
with renewed focus on infrastructure development,
bolstering technology, supporting MSMEs, and
fostering employment generation and skilling, through
next-generation reforms and substantial allocations
for sustained long-term growth of these areas.
