ACFI Conclave 2025 positions India as a
Rising Global Power in Air Cargo
T
he Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) successfully hosted its
annual conclave on July 11, at the Taj Palace in New Delhi,
spotlighting India’s growing leadership in global air logistics.
Held under the theme “Air Cargo Leadership in a
Changing World,” the event gathered key players from the air cargo
industry, government, and international think tanks. Discussions
centered around building resilience through innovation, advancing
sustainable cargo infrastructure, accelerating express logistics and
e-commerce, and strengthening cargo security and regulatory
frameworks.
Key dignitaries included Ashish Sood, Minister of Home, Education, Power, Urban Development, Higher Education, Training &
Technical Education, Government of Delhi-NCT; Piyush Srivastava,
Senior Economic Adviser, Ministry of Civil Aviation; Dheeraj Rastogi,
Principal Commissioner, Delhi Customs (Import); and Glyn Hughes,
Director General of TIACA.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) between ACFI and TIACA, aimed at
strengthening global collaboration in air cargo development. The
conclave also featured the release of a knowledge paper, “India’s Air
Cargo Horizon”, co-developed with ASCELA Insights, outlining a
strategic vision to establish India as a leading global air cargo hub.
