Chaitaly also points to a broader maturity among
Indian manufacturers and importers. “Indian manufacturers have realised that unless they explore and
diversify into other countries, they won’t thrive.
Likewise, importers are learning that relying solely
on traditional sources won’t help them,” she explains.
Initiatives such as the Indian government’s ‘Make in
India’ programme are catalysing this transformation. Chaitaly believes the programme is playing a
decisive role in enhancing India’s position in the global
manufacturing and export landscape.
“It also helps that product quality in certain Indian
industries has become excellent. Our government’s ‘Make
in India’ initiative is helping many achieve their dreams
of manufacturing, exporting, or becoming merchant
exporters. We now need to Develop in India and Design
in India to truly give ‘Make in India’ the momentum
it deserves,” Chaitaly went on to add to the narrative.
Despite the growing wave of digital adoption across
the logistics sector, Chaitaly underscores the enduring
value of traditional communication methods in ensuring operational
clarity. “For me, the good ol’ phone is the best mode of communication, followed by emails and then WhatsApp,” Chaitaly says,
