“During the last quarter of 2024,
our organisation set an ambitious
sales target supported by a Europe
incentive trip for trade partners,
with my responsibility centred
on ensuring inventory readiness
to support execution. However,
supply continuity was challenged
by the Chinese New Year production slowdown and BIS compliance
requirements for gas appliances in
India, requiring frequent travel to manufacturing locations, vendor coordination
for alternate sourcing, and close engagement with compliance consultants.
At the same time, I was managing signi昀椀cant personal responsibilities,
as my son was preparing for his board and JEE examinations while my
husband relocated to Mumbai for a six-month assignment. Despite these
parallel demands, structured prioritisation and continuous coordination
enabled us to successfully support the organisation in achieving its targets,
culminating in 55 trade partners qualifying for the Switzerland incentive
trip. Encouragingly, my son also performed well in his examinations,
including the JEE. This experience rea昀케rmed the importance of staying
focused, resilient, and balanced during high-pressure phases."

“I believe one of the key strengths
of the current generation is that
they are highly capable and quick to
learn. In many cases, they already
have clarity about what they want
to achieve and the skills they need
to develop. However, what remains
essential is the right guidance and
structured support to help channel
their potential e昀昀ectively. Empowerment plays a critical role in this
process. Young professionals need encouragement and con昀椀dence-building
opportunities. Assigning ownership of speci昀椀c tasks and allowing them to
manage responsibilities independently, while o昀昀ering appropriate guidance
and oversight helps build con昀椀dence and decision-making capability. Education and continuous training are particularly important in helping them
strengthen their competencies and build professional con昀椀dence over time.
Collaboration and behavioural development are equally important areas of
focus. While the present generation is energetic and fast-paced, it is essential
to nurture qualities such as empathy, composure and self-con昀椀dence. These
attributes contribute signi昀椀cantly to building well-rounded professionals.”
