India–Finland trade
records 19% growth in
FY26
Finland currently accounts for just
1% of India’s total goods trade with
the European Union and ranks 15th
among EU partners. However, the 19%
trade jump between India–Finland
in FY26 signals renewed traction,
with both governments targeting a
doubling of bilateral trade.
Global trade had a record
year in 2025, with preliminary
data pointing to a 7% increase
to exceed US$35 trillion for
the first time, according to
UNCTAD. While growth is
expected to remain positive in
2026, the pace will slow.
