and Challenges Facing
the Industry

In a world that is increasingly shaped by
technology, global interconnectedness,
and ever-evolving customer expectations, the logistics industry is entering a
transformative phase. As we move toward
2030, the future of logistics will be powered by smart
solutions that leverage data, automation, and cloud
intelligence. As the sector evolves, it encounters both
exciting opportunities and signi昀椀cant challenges, all of
which are poised to rede昀椀ne the way goods are moved,
tracked, and delivered globally.
Rahul Mehra, Co-founder of Roadcast, points out
that the logistics industry is set to experience signi昀椀cant
growth, with projections indicating the sector will reach

Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.6%. He
attributes this growth to technological advancements.
“The expansion of e-commerce, reverse logistics, and the
impact of global trade agreements will also play a pivotal
role in fuelling the industry’s ascent,” Mehra says, and
explains, “Tech-driven solutions and globalisation are
pushing the demand for smarter, more e昀케cient delivery
systems, while opening up international markets in
ways we’ve never seen before.”
Evidently, with technology unlocking new possibilities, logistics companies are now able to enhance
operational e昀케ciency, reduce costs, and provide customers with faster, more reliable services. Automation, AI,
and IoT-enabled devices are streamlining operations
in ways that were once unimaginable. For instance,
smart devices can monitor the condition of goods,
update delivery status in real-time, and optimise supply
chain routes, creating a more seamless experience for
customers and businesses alike.
