reater Noida is set to become a cornerstone of India’s logistics
infrastructure as the Uttar Pradesh government’s plans for
the development of a Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH)
begin to take shape. Located in the strategic Dadri area of
Greater Noida, this ambitious project represents a signi昀椀cant
`7,064 crore investment from the state government. It forms
a crucial part of UP’s strategy to drive towards a US$1 trillion economy,
positioning Dadri as a pivotal logistics center in the nation.
The MMLH will cover an expansive
area of over 800 acres, with the core
development occupying 455 acres. Once
completed, it will become the largest logistics hub in the country. This cutting-edge
facility is expected to serve as a worldclass freight handling centre, operating
much like a dry port, to facilitate the
rapid and e昀케cient transit of goods and
raw materials. Its location, intersecting
the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor
(WDFC) and the Eastern Dedicated Freight
Corridor (EDFC), makes it a central node
for logistics, enhancing its capabilities in
container handling, warehousing, cold
storage, processing, de-stu昀케ng, stu昀케ng,
and value-added packing.
Visionary Planning for Seamless Connectivity: The development of the Dadri
MMLH is being carried out through a
Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between
the Greater Noida Industrial Development
Authority (GNIDA) and the National Industrial Corridor Development and
Implementation Trust (NICDIT). This collaboration ensures adherence to
national standards while integrating advanced logistics solutions, enabling
the hub to be a state-of-the-art facility.
Essential services at the MMLH will include rail platforms, customs
clearance facilities, cargo segregation areas, truck parking zones, and
extensive green spaces, all designed to optimise the 昀氀ow of goods and
reduce congestion. The project is being executed in multiple phases, with
a focus on providing world-class logistics infrastructure that enhances
both rail connectivity and cargo management.

government has taken signi昀椀cant strides towards its US$1 trillion economy
goal. The Dadri MMLH is poised to play a vital role in this transformation
by driving industrial growth, facilitating trade, and strengthening the
logistics sector.
The Dadri MMLH is strategically situated on the intersection of the
Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors, positioning it as a
critical link in the country’s freight network. This advantageous location
will ensure that goods can be moved seamlessly across the country,
signi昀椀cantly reducing transit times and transportation costs. The MMLH

To ensure the timely completion of the MMLH,
several key initiatives are underway:
* Rail Connectivity: The Greater Noida
Industrial Development Authority has prepared
a comprehensive Master Detailed Project Report
(DPR) for constructing the approach track and a
Rail Over Rail (ROR) bridge, linking the New Dadri
station to the MMLH boundary. The Dedicated
Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL)
has approved the DPR, which includes constructing railway tracks and terminal stations within
the MMLH.
* Trunk Infrastructure: In parallel, signi昀椀cant
work is being done to develop essential trunk
infrastructure, including boundary walls, roads,
canals, bridges, utility relocation, and the provision
of water and power. These developments are
being carried out in di昀昀erent phases to ensure
a smooth and e昀케cient construction process.
* Public-Private Partnership Model: The
project is being developed under a PPP model,
ensuring collaboration between the government
and private players to achieve high standards
of e昀케ciency and innovation. This model helps
streamline execution and guarantees that the hub
is built with state-of-the-art logistics technologies.
